Arvind Kejriwal's Claim About Delhi Schools: "Melania Trump Told Modi."

Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, has disclosed that he has identified a major supporter of his government's efforts to improve school facilities and education in the national capital. The Delhi government recently launched over 12,000 "smart classrooms" at 240 government schools, which include designer desks, libraries, and multipurpose halls, among other amenities.

Melania Trump, the wife of former US President Donald Trump, is a supporter of his government's efforts to improve schools, Mr Kejriwal said during a rally in Rudhauli, Uttar Pradesh. Melania Trump insisted on seeing Delhi government schools when she and her husband visited India in February 2020, according to the Aam Aadmi Party chief.

"'I'll go see Kejriwal's schools,' she (Melania Trump) assured Modi ji in Delhi. She travels extensively over the world, but she has never requested to visit schools in any other country "Mr. Kejriwal explained.

"'See our BJP schools, see Yogi ji's schools, see Madhya Pradesh schools,' Modi pushed hard to persuade her. However, she stated that she will only visit Kejriwal's schools "To applause from the audience, the Delhi Chief Minister said.

"We felt privileged. Our school was visited by the wife of the world's most powerful man. She stayed for an hour, met students, and even danced with them. It's a significant event. We must have accomplished something worthwhile, "Mr. Kejriwal remarked, raising both hands in the midst of further applause.

In the last seven years, Mr. Kejriwal's government has created 20,000 classrooms - "equivalent to 400 schools" - and updated government schools with advanced laboratories and other facilities, according to him. "Elevators are now available in schools. Swimming pools are now available in government schools in Delhi "Mr. Kejriwal explained. He inquired of the audience, "In the last five years, how many schools has Yogi ji established in Uttar Pradesh? None. There isn't a single school in the entire state of Uttar Pradesh."

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools in the national capital resumed for Classes 9 to 12, while nursery to Class 8 reopened on February 14.
